On General Hospital, Trina and Portia’s relationship is in a precarious place. Trina’s done playing mediator for her parents. She told them she needs space. On Wednesday, July 8, Trina runs into Portia, according to spoilers. What will happen when mother and daughter cross paths?
Key Takeaways
- Trina unexpectedly crosses paths with Portia.
- Sonny warns Carly following her passionate reunion with Valentin.
- Lucas opens up to Elizabeth as he struggles with recent heartbreak and shocking revelations.
- Ric gets a new client while Molly faces a difficult choice.
An Unexpected Encounter
Trina (Tabyana Ali) did the smart thing. She distanced herself from her parents, who can’t seem to think about anyone other than themselves. Curtis (Donnell Turner) has fixated on the idea that Portia’s boyfriend was the other driver in his and Jordan’s accident. Portia (Brook Kerr) has understandably taken Isaiah’s (Sawandi Wilson) side, but when she and Curtis are in the same room, all hell breaks loose. She never holds back.
It got so bad that Trina had to tell her parents that she loves them, but she needs her space. Stay away from her so she can concentrate on her own life. This isn’t a permanent move, but it is what she needs right now. But Port Charles isn’t that big of a place. We’re about to find out what happens when Trina runs into her mom. Hopefully, it’ll be a drama-free conversation if anything.
Sonny Cautions Carly
In Monday’s episode, Carly (Laura Wright) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) were reunited in a sweeping, romantic moment. The two ran into each other’s arms and started kissing. And they didn’t care who witnessed this passionate interaction.
For the record, Sonny (Maurice Benard), Lulu (Alexa Havins), and Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) saw the whole thing. The shocked look on Sonny’s face was priceless. And now on Wednesday, Sonny is suddenly cautioning Carly, most likely against getting involved with a man like Valentin. If this is the case, Sonny doesn’t really have a leg to stand on here. He doesn’t think Carly will actually listen to his words of warning, does he?
Lucas Vents to Elizabeth
Lucas (Van Hansis) has dealt with a lot the last few months, including being shot three times in the chest and losing the man he loved dearly. So it’s no wonder that he needs to vent to Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst). He might mention to her that Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) doesn’t actually have Huntington’s Disease.
That it was all a ruse by Cullum (Andrew Hawkes, who shared the truth about his character’s final day) and Sidwell (Carlo Rota) to make her do their bidding and create that cold-fusion weapon. The medication they provided, however, was pure saline. And so Marco (Adrian Anchondo) died for nothing. Lucas already voiced this to Ava (Maura West), but the unfairness of it all bears repeating. He probably has a million other issues to unload as well.
Elsewhere in Port Charles
Look for Ric (Rick Hearst) to get a new client. There are a whole host of possibilities as to who this could be, including Britt. She’s in dire need of representation now that she’s back in PC.
Finally, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) suddenly faces a difficult choice. Does this have to do with her own legal career? She did just show up to help Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) at the PCPD. She certainly wasn’t there in her capacity as an assistant district attorney. Or maybe this has to do with the book tour she’s supposed to go on this summer. That should be happening soon, right? After all, Ric and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) are somehow working together to throw her a book launch party.
