For the week of February 12 – February 16 on General Hospital, spoilers tease characters celebrating anniversaries, finding trouble, and so much more. This will be a week you won’t want to miss!
It’s a known fact that when Dex (Evan Hofer, who gives insights to his character here) first started working as Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) go-to guy, he really worked for Michael (Chad Duell). He was paid under the table in return for acquiring damning information against the mob boss. Over time, he and Sonny have experienced real ups and down, but lately, his boss has really come to rely on Dex. However, in the name of protecting Sonny, Dex and Michael are, once again, in cahoots.
Michael even sent money directly to Dex’s account. If Brick (Stephen A. Smith) is worth the big bucks Sonny pays him, then he’s going to find shady traces of evidence. All of a sudden, this potential scenario may not be so “potential” anymore. Sonny’s suspicious and that’s going to lead Dex straight into a fraught situation. It may also lead to a furious Sonny. And if anybody who watches GH knows, a furious Sonny is a dangerous Sonny.
With Nina’s world a disaster, Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) dead, Nikolas (Adam Huss, who talks Nikolas’s trauma here) in jail, and Trina (Tabyana Ali) struggling with her grief, Ava’s (Maura West) feeling lonely. Sure, she lives with Sonny, but he’s kind of distracted these days. So, Ava ends up seeking out a friend. Does Nina (Cynthia Watros) find time for her or does Ava turn to someone else?
Consider Ava this week’s truth teller, life coach, and therapist all rolled into one divinely accessorized package. First, she doles out advice to her roomie. What does Sonny need her help with (other than everything)? After all, Ava specializes in hot messes — she’s dealt with so many in her life, why not shed some light for Sonny? Second, she attempts to impart wise words on Joss (Eden McCoy). The relationship between these two has thawed. Will Joss accept Ava’s counsel?
While Sam (Kelly Monaco) gets called on to use her considerable private investigative skills at a moment’s notice, her primary priority are her kids. She and Dante (Dominc Zamprogna) are forced to go into protective mode when they find out that Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) is in trouble.
It’s Valentine’s Day, meaning it’s time to celebrate Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Portia’s first anniversary. Remember that wedding? Well, the last year has been hella turbulent what with the dramatic way their wedding ended. Then Curtis’s subsequent fury over Portia (Brook Kerr) keeping Trina’s paternity a secret. And can’t forget a mystery gunman shot and paralyzed Curtis. Yeah, Portia and Curtis need to party hard and recognize that the fact they’re still together is a monumental accomplishment.
Finally, Anna’s (Finola Hughes) the new commissioner of the Port Charles Police Department. And she’s been busy fighting the good fight with Jordan (Tanisha Harper), who’s trying to find out who shot Curtis. All that business and badassness takes a temporary pause in order to deal with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). What happens when the two cross paths again?
