GH spoilers show that Eddie Maine is perfectly content with living the rock star life. He shows no interest in retrieving his memories as Ned Quartermaine or living Ned’s life. Nina is just happy he can’t reveal the fact that she is responsible for turning Carly and Drew into the SEC. But Eddie may not stay Eddie forever. I, Sybil the Psychic, plan to look into the future for Ned and see if his memory returns.
By examining my crystal ball, laying out the cards, and reading the tea leaves, I plan to predict what’s coming up for Eddie/Ned (Wally Kurth). But I make no promises because let’s face it – it’s not an exact science (and I’m not really that…talented). Okay, Let’s take a plunge into the unknown.
The crystal ball shows that Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) is desperately trying to jog Eddie’s memory. He has grown fond of Olivia and may even want to please her, considering the way she seemed to be accepting him as Eddie. But Olivia certainly has the potential to crack the case of the “missing” husband wide open. Let’s see what the cards have to say.
Eddie pulled the Wheel of Fortune card, which signifies destiny and a new direction. The last year was rough on Ned. Business was tough. He felt disrespected when Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Michael (Chad Duell) didn’t make him head of ELQ. And he was appalled when they accused him of turning Carly (Laura Wright) and Drew in for insider trading. Perhaps Eddie is sticking around for a while to give Ned a break.
Was it a coincidence that he happened to fall and hit his head right after learning that Nina (Cynthia Watros) was the culprit behind the insider trading tip, or was it fate? Did Eddie come out to play to show Ned a more joyful side of life? To remind him that inspiration and passion beats ambition and the thirst for power every time? All work and no play has made Ned a dull boy.
The card hints that Eddie isn’t immune to the fact that Ned’s loved ones are hurting. He knows that he can only handle what is in front of him and can’t agonize over situations he can’t control. Deep down, he’s aware that Ned could emerge at any moment, and Eddie needs to make every moment count. Something that would behoove Ned to practice more in his life.
Pulling the Wheel of Fortune card teases personal growth and happiness. Despite life’s ups and downs, joy can be found. Change is inevitable and can be in his best interest. Perhaps losing himself for a little while is just what he needed.
In reading these tea leaves, I, Sybil the Psychic, spy an Elephant, which indicates good luck, health, and happiness. The future looks bright for Ned Quartermaine. Just maybe, if his memory returns and he incorporates a little Eddie Maine in his day-to-day life, he will find the joy that has been so elusive of late. Sybil suggests if there was one lesson to be learned, it is, “Enjoy every moment and make it count.”
