GH spoilers weekly update for January 16 – 20, 2023, tease the week ahead is full of an unpleasant surprise and anger unleashed. Tune in next week so you can catch all of the action in Port Charles!
This week was a big one in Port Charles. Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) got some bad news — she needed a bone marrow transplant, but doctors refused to clear her for the surgery. Ultimately, Willow realized she’d made some mistakes with how she’d handled her cancer.
Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was horrified to learn that Willow had cancer after Sonny tipped her off. She went to confront Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), assuming…wrongly…that he’d talked Willow into foregoing treatment in favor of her pregnancy.
Meanwhile, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) clued Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) into the fact that Willow had cancer, and that was why she needed her birth family. Ultimately, Carly ‘fessed up to knowing that Nina was Willow’s birth mother, and Drew wasn’t pleased when he realized Carly had known for some time. As for Willow, she ended up in the hospital, fighting for her life.
Coming up next week, expect to see Michael unleash his anger at the situation. He’s certainly not ready to forgive Carly, and he may never be. Nina remains resolved to move forward in whatever way she can to help Willow.
Elsewhere, look for Cameron Webber (William Lipton) to get an unpleasant surprise while Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) advises Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), and later they both make a request of Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), who ultimately opens up to Curtis.
