The 4th of July brings out the best in some and the worst in others. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) cozies up with Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth), Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) enjoy some alone time, and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) shares a hot moment with Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse). Enjoy the fireworks, folks, because things are about to get lit!
Speaking of Trina, her trial begins this week and it will be nothing less than dramatic. She has a good lawyer and a lot of support but that won’t be enough to save her. She needs evidence against Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl). It will take everyone in Trina’s corner to take down Esme and make her regret she ever came to town!
As if the trial isn’t enough drama, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) feels her life falling apart, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) share a tense moment, and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) has it out with his father. GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital but in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named as Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) super spy exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. Epic romances, action-adventure stories, and love on the run have enthralled viewers over the years.
