It’s time for prayers right now as Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) life hangs in the balance. TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) leads his family as Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harbor), Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) join him at General Hospital to hope his friend (and patient) pulls through.
Elsewhere, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) is trying to get to the bottom of what’s causing her to lose time over these last few months, and whatever she remembers has her gripping the chair she’s sitting in. Will she finally know what traumatized her all those years ago?
Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) trauma is a current one, and it has him — the scariest of the Cassadines, according to his mother — frightened. Will Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) be able to soothe his pain and help him stop his vicious father?
The Hooker is on the minds of others in Port Charles. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) asks a worried Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) if she’s thinking about Brando. She is, but also Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and whoever attacked them both…as Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) holds up a newspaper reporting two victims — one hook — and Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) prays for her husband. GH made its debut in 1963 and was created by the husband and wife team of Frank and Doris Hursley, taking place at a hospital but in an unnamed city. In fact, the setting wasn’t named as Port Charles until the 1970s. General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.
From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) super spy exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. Epic romances, action-adventure stories, and love on the run have enthralled viewers over the years.
