GH spoilers keep reminding us that Diane has a thing for Robert. Robert, for his part, appears just not that into her. But is his attitude starting to change? After all, Diane continues to be…there.

GH Spoilers Speculation: Love of My Life

Robert (Tristan Rogers) has had multiple great loves. There was Anna (Finola Hughes), mother of his only child, Robin (Kimberly McCullough). There was Holly (Emma Samms). Who keeps popping in and out of his life to remind him what was, what could have been, and what might yet be. A part of his heart will always belong to her. But how big of a part?

General Hospital: Here Today, Gone Tomorrow

Whenever Holly is in Port Charles, Robert’s attention can’t help but be focused on her. Except, right now, she’s not in Port Charles. And Robert, we presume, is bored. We don’t really know. We don’t see him much. Sure, there’s lots of crime for him to deal with as District Attorney. But considering how upset his fellow citizens become whenever anyone is compelled to pay for the crimes they committed, his work must leave Robert rather frustrated. And he needs some way to work off that frustration.

GH: Lessons in Chemistry

Oh, look, there’s Diane (Carolyn Hennesy)! She just keeps popping up, doesn’t she? She and Robert love to squabble and banter over little things like her being proud to defend murderers and kidnappers so they can be set free to murder and kidnap again. (She’s an excellent lawyer. No one is disputing that. Completely morally bankrupt, but excellent.)

Their back and forth is fun and sparkles with chemistry. So, sure, why not see if that will translate entirely into a personal relationship? Robert has nothing better to do. And he’s between Holly’s reappearances. If Diane refuses to understand that, let her dive in headfirst.
