GH Spoilers Speculation: Nina Breaks Sonny’s Heart More Than Michael

GH spoilers are bringing us closer and closer to Sonny learning that Nina was the one who called the SEC on Carly and Drew. But will he, at the same time, be forced to face the fact that his son Michael has been conspiring with right-hand man, Dex, for months, to bring Sonny down? Which betrayal will destroy Sonny more?

GH Spoilers Speculation: Lifelong Commitment

Sonny (Maurice Benard) will be miffed with Michael (Chad Duell), sure. But Sonny can never stay angry with one of his kids for long. Michael may not be his biological son, but he is still his favorite child. (Morgan is dead, Dante is a cop, and the other three are girls; so there isn’t that much competition.)

Sonny will find some way to justify what Michael did. He might even manage to spin it as Michael showing what a chip off the old mobster he is. Just look at him spying on his enemy and looking to bring them down! Those are positive qualities in Sonny’s book. Well, as long as they aren’t turned against him. Besides, as with all things Michael attempts, he failed at this, too. So far, no harm done.

General Hospital: Women Trouble

There may be a moment when Sonny rages at Michael, Dex (Evan Hofer), and Nina (Cynthia Watros). But, in the end, the bulk of his fury will be focused on Nina. Why? Because the children are allowed to have conflicted feelings toward Sonny, of course. His women, however, are supposed to adore him unconditionally.

Remember when Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) wore a wire? There were tears and screams and running water. Remember when Carly (Laura Wright) dared love Jax (Ingo Rademacher)? Jason (Steve Burton)? Sonny was not pleased.

GH: The Worst Kind of Betrayal

Sure, Nina didn’t cheat on him, but she turned in Sonny’s criminal ex-wife for a crime she committed. Sonny is not down with criminals being punished for their actions. It goes against his entire lifestyle (his vibe, as the kids say). If Nina believes in jail terms for those who break the law, then she has no place in Sonny’s world.
