GH spoilers reveal Michael demanding a name in his quest to learn who called the SEC to rat out Carly and Drew. Apparently, he and Carly think knowing who reported a crime erases the actual crime. But what if that name leads him down the wrong path?
GH Spoilers Speculation: Michael Gets His Answer
The SEC should not know where Marty (Michael E. Knight) got his tip from, so if Michael (Chad Duell) finally gets someone to tell him who made that fateful call, he is going to hear the name Martin Grey and wonder why the heck the attorney would decide to turn in his mother and Drew (Cameron Mathison). What beef has he ever had with them? Then, he remembers who Marty’s main client is, and it all makes sense — to Michael, at least.
There’s a social media theory making the rounds that learning that Marty made the call leads Michael to believe he did so at Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart) behest. He’d never suspect Nina because, as far as he is concerned, Nina and Marty barely know one another. However, Valentin and Marty are as thick as thieves, and Valentin is the one who helped make sure the ELQ/Aurora merger wouldn’t go through. It would be beneficial to Valentin to get Drew away from the ELQ board for a while, and Carly (Laura Wright) could have just been collateral damage in Valentin’s mind.
Valentin Is Confused…But Not For Long
When Michael decides to confront Valentin with this new information, Valentin is completely perplexed and defends himself. Then, he learns the truth when a nervous Nina confesses all. Nina and Valentin have been growing closer of late thanks to the help he needs with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), so it makes sense that she would confide –and make Michael’s accusation make sense.

Valentin, being the supposed newly altruistic person he wants to be, decides he wants Nina to remain happily married to Sonny, so he covers for her and tells Michael that, yes, he is the one who made sure Drew paid for the crime he committed. It’s not like Valentin broke the law by turning in a criminal, so he doesn’t have his freedom to lose if he takes the fall for Nina.
This could cause Valentin some trouble with Michael at ELQ, but it might be a risk he is willing to take if it means saving his ex-wife’s new marriage. He will also save her from the wrath of Carly, which is bound to be much more severe than the wrath of Sonny. Think this speculation will come true? Let us know in the comments section below.
