GH spoilers — and Alexis Davis — warned Drew Cain that…hypothetically…his close relationship with Carly Spencer could leave her vulnerable to charges of insider trading. It doesn’t matter whether they discuss business while on a romantic getaway in Florida or not.
If the Securities Exchange Commission thinks they did, both could be in a lot of trouble. Which is why Drew (Cameron Mathison) might be moved to dump Carly (Laura Wright)…for her own good. Is that the right call?
Drew should tell Carly exactly what’s going on, and together, they’ll come up with a plan to beat the charges, 44% of you are speculating. They’re both brilliant businesspeople who have wriggled out of tough jams before. There’s nothing these two can’t do if they put their minds together. Besides, Carly needs to be a part of everything. She’ll go ballistic if she ever learns Drew kept something from her. Carly is the only one allowed to keep secrets.
First, Drew will drive Carly away, then, after the danger has passed, he’ll fill her in on why he did what he did, 31% of the audience predicts. It’s the only way to have his cake and eat it, too. Sure, Carly will be angry in the short run, but once she learns that Drew put her first, ahead of everyone else, she’ll be appeased.
A minority 25% speculate Drew to do what needs to be done — like a real man — and leave Carly in the dark for her own protection — like a good, little woman. If she doesn’t appreciate it, well, then that just proves that Carly doesn’t know what’s good for her and needs somebody else to be making her decisions. This is basically Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca. Only with much, much, much lower stakes.
