GH spoilers for Wednesday, July 14, 2021, reveal secrets now out, another one hoping to stay hidden, power up for grabs, and so much more. You won’t want to miss an explosive moment of this new episode.
Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) receives intriguing news when Austin reveals that his full name is Austin Gatlin Holt, meaning he’s the son of Alan Quartermaine’s bastard half brother, Jimmy Lee Holt and his wife Charity Gatlin (Alan’s former mistress…hmm…) so whatever ELQ shares rightfully belonged to his father are now rightfully his. Of course, everyone is reminded that Jimmy Lee was cut out of Edward’s will (as was daughter Tracy Quartermaine), but that doesn’t sit right with Austin — so he has asked Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) to contest Edward Quartermaine’s will. This news sets everyone on edge, displeased by it all. One thing is for sure — now that shares — and who has them — are up in the air, Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) suggestion that they postpone the vote will be the one thing everyone can agree on. Until this mattered is settled, there will be no vote which means he remains CEO. Family freak out commences.
That’s something Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is fully expecting — but she is also worried her secret will be exposed. GH spoilers show she’s ready to head for the hills, knowing what kind of drama Austin could bring down upon her, especially if he remembers her from the night Louise supposedly went missing. But so far, she seems to be in the clear as he has no idea he saw her that night. Of course, considering how often she talks about it, if he comes back to the mansion, he could certainly end up overheard it.
Speaking of that little tot, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is having one heck of a breakdown in front of her former sister-in-law, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). She spills a ton on poor Nina’s plate and when Nina seems to take issue with elements, namely how could she and Brook Lynn keep poor Valentin in the dark, Maxie wants to know how much of what’s going on Nina has a problem with. While Nina wishes Maxie would ask Valentin for help — she’s absolutely sure he’d do anything needed to keep Louise safe from that horrible Peter August (Wes Ramsey) — there’s no way she will ever betray Maxie’s secret. She knows how important it is to keep certain things secret — especially these days.
Things don’t seem like they could get much worse in Nixon Falls as Smike (Maurice Benard) is upset about what he learns about Lenny’s (Rif Hutton) heart. While he doesn’t know how he’s going to fix things, he does know he will find a way to not let his new friends down and that includes coming up with as much money that’s needed to get a second opinion from a leading heart specialist. But unless he remembers he’s stuck tons of funds in a Port Charles hospital that may do a pal of his a solid, what can he really do? Well, he won’t give up trying anything and everything he can think of. Luckily, Phyllis (Joyce Guy) tracks down a specialist in a New York hospital that may just be the person who can help save the man she loves. She knows that they at least have to try!
GH spoilers tease that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) navigate their complicated relationship, especially where it comes to her dealing with Violet, whom she still loves very much. Anna gets word of clue and Finn wants to know if it’s about Peter. Will she notice how jumpy he is and wonder what he’s hiding? Like…in a freezer in the basement, perhaps? No, of course not. At least not yet but Valentin will show up and be on hand when she gets a tip about the helicopter pilot — who is out of a New York hospital — the same one that Smike might be headed to in fact. Valentin will accompany her, now that the ELQ vote has been postponed indefinitely. Will they see or be seen by Sonny — and will they once again try to discuss the feelings he wants to acknowledge and she’s too scared to?
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) is pleasantly surprised to see his son. Laura Collins (Genie Francis) tries to prod him, knowing he must have something to say to Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) after all this time away. Meanwhile, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) makes a power play for the launch and gets very irritated when she’s told someone else has more of a right to it than she does. When she finally arrives at Wyndemere, she’s obviously a little put out to see Spencer, knowing how much he hates her but don’t expect Spencer to greet her with open arms. Laura tries to reassure Ava, which she appreciates but it’s all too late for the former mafia princess. The divorce is still very much on. And that news certainly pleases Spencer, even if he sees his father suffering.
