Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) reign of terror pushes everyone to the edge. This time, he is not going to get away with it, though. Someone is fighting back.
Peter has taken away too much from the people of Port Charles. He’s murdered, he’s maimed, he’s ended love stories, and now Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is forced to hand over her baby. Enough is enough. It is time for the tables to turn.

GH made its debut in 1963 and is the second longest-running daytime soap opera in American history. The longest-running soap is Guiding Light. While it’s not the longest-running serial, General Hospital is the longest-running soap opera currently on air.

From legendary Laura’s (Genie Francis) four decades on and off and back on as the show’s leading heroine, to Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) exploits, to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his mobster activities, GH certainly knows how to please their viewers.
More than five decades of gripping drama as well as love in the afternoon have kept this ABC daytime soap on the air and winning Daytime Emmys. It is one of four soap operas currently on the air.
