General Hospital Spoilers Spec: Is Morgan Avery’s Real Father?

General Hospital spoilers could reveal lots of things when the show returns, but here is something that fans have waited years for. Might it happen?

He knew Sam (Kelly Monaco) and fathered her daughter before she met Jason (Steve Burton). One night with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was all it took to produce Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth), and the same went for Sonny (Maurice Benard), Ava (Maura West), and Avery. Only it wasn’t night, it was day. And it wasn’t a bed, it was a crypt.

Odds On Favorite

Sonny really shouldn’t have won there. Ava was in a long-term relationship with Morgan (Bryan Craig). Morgan had many more chances to become a dad than… his dad.

Should history be rewritten in the name of biology? Think of the drama! If Morgan turns out to be Avery’s true father, Carly (Laura Wright) will have even more of a claim on the little girl now that she’s the grandma, rather than just the stepmom. She might not let Ava see Avery ever again!

Sonny’s feelings likely won’t change much. Sure, he might be a little put out not to be the all-time champion, but he’ll still be the granddaddy. That’s actually very Marlon Brando in The Godfather. They can eat oranges in the backyard. Or at that weird mossy thing in their kitchen.

A Fly In the Ointment

But what if, on top of Avery’s paternity being reversed, so is Morgan’s death? What if Morgan comes back to Port Charles and not only wants to reunite with his daughter… but with her mother, too?

Carly and Sonny will blow a gasket. They’ll probably go to court to prove that the child would be better off with them than with her real parents – the way they took Michael (Chad Duell) away from the Quartermaines.
