The General Hospital recap for Thursday, June 18, 2020, features the fourth of a five-day, five-episode marathon of all things Sonny and Carly. In today’s special flashback, the couple collectively known as CarSon take yet another stab at holy wedlock.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Paul Hornsby’s evil plans are starting to bear fruit. Sure, his attempt to murder Sonny (Maurice Benard) failed spectacularly but what can you expect? Sonny has love, family, and a future (and it doesn’t hurt that he’s also the star of the show). Of course, he beat the odds and survived that pesky little bullet.
But at least Paul was able to divert suspicion from public enemy number 1 – AKA Julian Jerome (William deVry) – and place it on known hitman Carlos Rivera (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) whom he helped to fake his death. He also rid himself of cop Kyle Sloan (Grayson McCouch).
Since they were robbed of their pre-planned wedding day, Sonny surprised Carly (Laura Wright) with a (slightly) impromptu one inside the General Hospital chapel. Sonny’s brood – including Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and Michael (Chad Duell) – came pouring in carrying a tuxedo and wedding gown…and makeup, and hair products. To quote Josslyn, Carly doesn’t travel light.
Soon, the bride and groom indulged in an accelerated ceremony. They weren’t about to take a chance of something going wrong this time. And nothing did. Well, except for Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) phone going off at the MOST inopportune moment.
Dead On Arrival
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Dillon’s (Robert Palmer Watkins) squabbling over his affections for Lulu (Emme Rylan) and “trouble” with Valerie (Brytni Sarpy) were interrupted by their discovery of a decomposing body!
Dillon’s call to the police station broke up Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Valerie’s tete-a-tete about her supposed pregnancy. She is not, by the way, pregnant with Dillon’s baby thank you very much!
Down at the docks, Nathan and Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) discover a wallet on the corpse containing Carlos’s ID. Later, Paul delighted in telling Anna about the body and who it supposedly belonged to. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC Check your local listings for airtimes.
