General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Tells Kristina How They Are So Alike

General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, July 9, 2020 reveal quite a dramatic day between Sonny and his older daughter… January 6, 2011, to be exact. You won’t want to miss an emotional moment of this classic episode.

General Hospital Spoilers Highlights

Sonny (Maurice Benard) comes bearing gifts when he visits Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) in the hospital after the tragic bus accident took the life of her friend Ali. She blames herself, having encouraged Ali to go on the trip with her because she was hoping the more age-appropriate girl would catch her brother’s eye.

Seeing how emotional she is will lead to a very frank discussion between father and daughter as he points out that while she’s smart like Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), she’s emotional like him. He doesn’t want her to blame herself (cause of course Sonny is never to blame for anything either, right?!). But she won’t be his only hospital visit.

Dante Sticks By His Mom

Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) remains unconscious and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) won’t leave her side, just as she never left his whenever he was in the hospital. Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) tries to comfort him. After she leaves, Theo will stop by to question Dante about the death of Anton but his timing is off for Dante. Sonny will try to step in.

Theo will have none of that because he truly believes that he is the only one who will be able to help Dante and Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) deal with this because their connection to Sonny makes it look very shady. Sonny will be all for kicking the can down the road until Olivia’s condition improves — which it looks like it just might sooner than expected.

Michael Minds His Business

Michael (Chad Duell) meets up with Abby (Andrea Bogart), who admits that while at the hospital to check up on him after she heard about the accident, she ran into Sonny — and he figured out she’s a dancer. Michael’s not worried, cause his dad is pretty cool about that stuff. Of course, he’s right that he’s not the parent to worry about.

It seems that Kristina’s not the only family member who isn’t cool with Michael dating a woman about a decade older than her. Carly (Laura Wright) lets Sonny have it about what their son is up to and she will really flip out when she learns what the young woman does for a living. Uh oh.
