General Hospital Spoilers Preview: The Socially-Distanced Nurses Ball

Despite getting weeks and weeks worth of Nurses Balls during our “classic episodes” break due to the coronavirus pandemic, we are getting a brand-new one this week that will clearly be a little different than Nurses Balls past.

Can the show crowd so many people into the Metro Court ballroom at once and keep things safe on the set? Can we have a crowded red carpet walk? Will Lucy (Lynn Herring) appear in her underwear in the end? These are things we want to know.

What we do know is that there will be drama aplenty surrounding the ball. With everyone distracted, it looks like Nelle (Chloe Lanier) decides to make her move and kidnap Wiley, but will she be caught?

Of course, we expect to see all the song-and-dance numbers as we have in previous years but how will it look? Will large musical numbers be possible? Will all the songs be pre-recorded and lip-synched to prevent added droplets on the set? This can definitely get interesting and there will likely be lots of little things to look out for to try to figure out how General Hospital pulled this extravaganza off in the middle of a pandemic.

In late May and early June, we got to see Nurses Balls dating back to 2014 right up until 2019, but the tradition actually began in the 1990s and was brought back in this century. One constant, however, is always Lucy Coe as the mistress of ceremonies. The red carpet mania is something new and updated for modern times.
