General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, May 27, 2020 reveal an emotionally-charged glimpse into Nurses Ball past — May 12, 2014 to be exact. You won’t want to miss a moment of this longing-filled episode.
The musical numbers strike just the right tone during the evening, as estranged couples give each other longing glances, brokenhearted members of Port Charles society sing their hearts out as big sweeping gestures, while huge moves on the corporate chessboard reveal stunning power shifts at one local conglomerate.
First up is Sonny (Maurice Benard). He knows he screwed up big time by cheating on Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) and despite her giving him the cold shoulder, look for Sonny to put his heart on the line as he begs for another chance. This screwup (so to speak) with Ava (Maura West) was huge — is this something Olivia can just move on from?
Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) is shocked to see Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) and Spencer (Nicolas Bechtel) and while Nik tries to avoid, Spencer wants to catch up with his dad’s ex. While they rehash old feelings, Spencer makes a bold and beautiful move to win back Emma’s (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) heart — he’s arranged for Ronn Moss to sing Baby Come Back!
He’s not the only one making a big move to win back an old love. Brad (Parry Shen) will belt out Brokenhearted by Karmin in an attempt to win back Lucas (Ryan Carnes). While longtime viewers know that Brad and Lucas eventually reunite and marry, is this the proverbial trick to make that happen? Expect lots of longing glances from other couples as well.
But it’s not all romance and stolen glances. There’s some corporate intrigue on the docket as well when Luke (Anthony Geary) believes he has finally won out by marrying Tracy (Jane Elliot). Unfortunately for him, Ned (Wally Kurth) and Michael (Chad Duell) have quite a surprise in store for the newest member of the family — and you won’t want to miss the fallout.
There will be even more performances — and more regret. While Lucy (Lynn Herring) was the one lamenting the end of her relationship with Scott (Kin Shriner), he wants another chance. Also on tap — Mac (John J. York) suffers a devastating blow. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
