General Hospital spoilers for August 27-31 promise a week of surprises and sadness that will be fascinating but brief.

What’s Up With Nelle?
Yes, it will be a short week of Port Charles fun as the soap re-airs encore episodes revolving around Nathan’s shooting and death earlier this year.

However, what new GH we do get is sure to please as stories take leaps forward and then leave us wanting more.

Nelle (Chloe Lanier) continues wreaking havoc on Port Charles, even from jail… or perhaps Ferncliff. All might not be well with Nelle, but she could be looking for a way out and back into GH.

Kim (Tamara Braun) offers an update on her former patient who gave birth in the woods and had a catfight with Josslyn (Eden McCoy) just hours later.

That couldn’t have been healthy, especially when Joss kneed her in the uterus.

Nelle’s Baby Mess
Of course, her baby is alive and well although she wants everyone to believe he is dead. Only Brad (Parry Shen) knows the truth and he’s very curious about what might be going on with the ‘homeless’ woman who handed him a newborn.

Poor Mike
Sonny (Maurice Benard) had a hard time on Friday trying to handle Mike (Max Gail) as his condition deteriorated.

Mike’s close call has Sonny wondering if it’s time to give up on taking care of him with just a nurse around.

With Stella’s help, he considers his next steps, but it will break his heart to see his father put in a home. However, it might be the safest option for everyone at this point.

Sonny’s week gets even more complicated when Oscar (Garren Stitt) pays him a visit. Does he need some Josslyn advice, or does the teen have something else on his mind?

Ava’s Vengeance
Ava (Maura West) might have revenge on the mind, but next week she’s backed into a corner as Griffin (Matt Cohen) tries to gain some insight on what makes Ava tick. NOW he tries to figure that out? Good luck, doc.
