Nick and Sharon are headed back to the altar – again – on The Young and the Restless.
There are a few minor problems, like Nick (Joshua Morrow) is obsessed with destroying his father in business, and Sharon (Sharon Case) is helping Nick’s mother, sister, and ex-wife cover up a murder.
But, other than that, it should be smooth sailing for the renewed Newmans! Do you want these high school sweethearts to finally have a happy ending? Over 4,000 viewers cast a vote!
Happily Ever After
It’s about time, 81% of you insist. Sure, most couples who fall in love in high school rarely make it for the long haul, but Sharon and Nick deserve to beat the odds. Noah (Robert Adamson) was supposed to die when he was born – but he didn’t. And Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) was kidnapped at birth, but Nick and Sharon eventually got her back.
You’d think Sharon would never be able to come back from passing Christian off as her and Dylan’s child when he was really Sage and Nick’s. But they got past that, too. Not to mention the cheating and the lying and tragedy of losing Cassie.
Neither one of them even cares anymore that Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are against the union. So, what’s a tiny murder cover-up compared to all that?

One More Thing
Nick may be able to get over Sharon lying about JT (Thad Luckinbill) – especially since she did it for his mother and sister. But will Sharon be equally as sanguine about overlooking Nick’s fling with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) when he thought Sharon had left him?
That one seems a bit more unlikely for the remaining 19%. There’s no happy ending coming Sharon and Nick’s way– and they don’t even deserve it. Give it up, guys, this never works.
