General Hospital spoilers for Thursday, May 16 promise the day Carson fans have been waiting for as the fate of Carly and Sonny’s baby is revealed. You won’t want to miss a moment of this emotional episode.
Test Results
The next day seems to come quickly for Carly (Laura Wright) as she arrives at the hospital to learn the results of her CVS test.
The round ligament pain gave her a scare as it often gives first-time pregnant women a fright and it was surprising Carly never felt it before. However, this entire unexpected pregnancy has been scary.
Carly didn’t have an easy time of it in the past with her children, and advanced maternal age can pose quite a few issues.
However, now she will know through genetic testing if anything is going wrong with this pregnancy before a possible bad labor situation… again.
As for Sonny (Maurice Benard), he seems more concerned about Mike’s marriage proposal than anything else.
Ring Confusion
Mike (Max Gail) has quite the ring for Yvonne (Janet Hubert) and he can’t imagine where he got such an expensive piece of jewelry from while living in a nursing home.
Speaking of marriage proposals and engagement rings, Finn (Michael Easton) is one angry man and ready to enlist Chase’s (Josh Swickard) help to get Robert (Tristan Rogers) to give up the real ring. If he only had the real ring…

Then there’s poor Anna (Finola Hughes) who thinks Robert is going to propose to her when she’s madly in love with Finn. As Peter (Wes Ramsey) thanks Anna for her advice, she confesses she’s about to receive a proposal.
Cult Classics
Finally, there’s Dawn of Day, which is now more Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) obsession than Kristina’s. She tells Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) she intends to make her initiation memorable.
Of course, now Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) and Molly (Haley Pullos) think they have to save Sam from Shiloh rather than Sam saving Kristina. What can possibly go wrong with that?
