General Hospital spoilers for Wednesday, July 8, 2020 reveal Michael paying the price for his actions in this blast from Sonny and his kids’ past… during May sweeps, 2010. You won’t want to miss a shocking moment of this classic episode.
Everyone in Port Charles is discussing whether or not Michael (Chad Duell) will be sentenced to prison. Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) has Morgan’s hopes up that there’s no way he will be while Maxie (Kirsten Storms) tells Lulu (Julie Marie Berman) that there’s a strong possibility the judge will use him to make a point. Lulu insists on supporting Dante.
Dante will try to get Carly (Laura Wright) to understand why he did this and it will take Sonny (Maurice Benard) pulling him away to keep Carly from going after his son. She’s a wreck, even with Jason (Steve Burton) there. And it turns out that everyone has a right to be worried. With his family surrounding him (including some who shouldn’t be there), the judge emerges.
It looks like the judge does indeed hold Michael responsible — and the sentence is not what those gathered are hoping for. You won’t want to miss what the judge has to say about those around Michael and why the sentence is what it is — and no one’s life will ever be the same because of it.
Liz (Rebecca Herbst) talks to her favorite patient Shirley, who will notice her happy mood. Liz foolishly thinks she has a chance to reconcile with Lucky. Shirley thought that wasn’t the case and she’ll try to get Liz to put her feet back on the ground. But Lucky stood up for her against Helena, so she feels a bond is still there. Oh, Liz.
Speaking of Helena (Constance Towers), she and Tracy (Jane Elliot) spar at the Metro Court, when the latter insists that Spencer isn’t really made of Cassadine material since a mobster like Sonny is his uncle and his mother was a stripper. Of course, Tracy notes, that didn’t stop her from kidnapping the boy. Helena will show off about her bond with Luke (Tony Geary).
When Tracy leaves, watch for Helena to reveal the last thing she needs — Tracy finding out about Liz’s baby being Lucky’s! But she’s out of luck — because a little visit with Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) will push Tracy in just that very direction. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
