General Hospital spoilers (GH) for Friday, December 29 promise a New Year’s Eve to remember throughout Port Charles–but especially for one pair.
It’s a Trick!
Sonny (Maurice Benard) may warn Carly (Laura Wright) that her little plan to get Sam (Kelly Monaco) to admit her feelings to Jason if she’s alone with him on The Haunted Star won’t work, but that’s not necessarily so. Jason (Steve Burton) shows up on the boat looking for Sonny, but runs into a dressed-to-the-nines Sam.
With no Drew (Billy Miller) in sight, the two finally talk and Jason expresses his regrets. He tells Sam how he feels about losing the last five years and the mistakes he’s made and the pair ring in the new year the way Sam planned to with Drew. They’re on the deck, watching fireworks, and finally kiss.
However, Carly didn’t just lure Jason to The Haunted Star. She also did something to Drew’s car to make sure he doesn’t reach his destination. After questioning Kim (Tamara Braun) and getting some vague answers, his car breaks down and he’s not with the woman he loves at midnight.
Valentin In Danger
Meanwhile, there’s some crime-drama brewing as Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) is in a whole lotta trouble and Nina (Michelle Stafford) is worried sick.

Cassandra’s (Jessica Tuck) goon is giving him quite a beating, but he can’t tell them much about the bug because he has no idea where it came from. (Well, he might have some idea, but…)
Lulu (Emme Rylan) thinks Nina is covering for Valentin and has her suspicions. Of course, this makes her think there’s a story and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) ends up not approving of his wife’s latest actions.
New Romance?
Now that Anna (Finola Hughes) and Finn (Michael Easton) think their mission is over, they’re not thinking much about Valentin. However, Finn does decide to stay for New Year’s.
