Coming up in Port Charles

Detective Joe (Jonathan Bennett) asks Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), “I’d like your authorization to pursue this.” Joe has already been digging into Jack’s (Chris McKenna) disappearance, and Ava’s (Maura West) evasive answers only gave him more reason to keep looking. Ava may soon discover that telling a detective she simply cannot remember anything is not quite the conversational dead end she hoped it would be.

Portia (Brook Kerr) explains to Drew (Cameron Mathison), “Now that I know you’re involved, I’m questioning that decision.” Portia reluctantly agreed to cooperate with Monet’s (Blythe Howard) plan to help Curtis (Donnell Turner), but learning that Drew (Cameron Mathison) is part of the strategy could change everything. Considering Portia’s opinion of Drew these days, his involvement may be enough to make her wonder whether helping Curtis is worth stepping into another Drew Cain disaster.

At the hospital, Gio (Giovanni Mazza) asks Curtis (Donnell Turner), “Is there any chance that you would consider that my grandfather wasn’t behind your assault?” Gio clearly wants to believe Sonny (Maurice Benard), even though Curtis remains convinced that Sonny ordered the Pentonville attack. Gio could be heading straight for another painful clash between the grandfather he loves and the people who believe Sonny is guilty.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) confronts Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), telling her, “I’m sick of waiting for you to come to me.” Sonny has already watched everyone question whether he is telling the truth about Curtis’ attack, and apparently he has decided Alexis has had enough time to choose where she stands. Whatever answer Sonny wants from her, he is no longer waiting politely for it.

And Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) catches Rocco (Finn Carr) and Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) mid-smooch and yells, “Get the hell away from my sister!” So much for keeping their budding romance under the Quartermaine radar. Danny is already protective of Scout, and finding her kissing Rocco is apparently enough to send him straight into big-brother DEFCON 1. The bigger problem may be what Danny does next, especially if he decides Drew needs to know exactly who his daughter has been kissing.
