General Hospital spoilers for Friday, May 17 reveal an exciting day both in and out of Port Charles as Ryan seems on the loose and your favorite characters take to the red carpet for their annual song and dance break from so-called reality.
The Nurses Ball arrivals begin as we wonder if Lucy (Lynn Herring) will bring a llama again. It made no sense last year and would make no sense this year, but since when does Lucy make sense?
Nina (Michelle Stafford) is hosting the red carpet festivities again and that also makes little sense, but we’ll just go with it. Word is she has a familiar face on hand from Grey’s Anatomy.
Of course, it’s all not a musical and Port Charles star-studded fantasy. There are stories going on, as well.
While Nina does the red carpet shtick, she’s thrilled to see Michael (Chad Duell) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) together and at the ball as each others’ dates.
Will she also be thrilled when she sees Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) with Chase (Josh Swickard) and know she’s not after Michael? Or, will Nina just give poor Willow a hard time, as per usual?
When Lucy finishes her intros, she’s back to conspiring with Scott (Kin Shriner) as spoilers say the two are back to their old ways. Do those old ways to lead to each other.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) arrives at the ball and he has a big announcement to make. Is it about a pending engagement or a pending child and gender? What will Carly have to say about this announcement?

Ava decides she’s going to turn some heads when she arrives at the ball with Kevin (Jon Lindstrom).
It’s the best way to get some public notice and lure Ryan out of hiding, but Ryan may have something else on the brain. Or perhaps, two someones else…
Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Laura (Genie Francis) are apparently not chopped up into little pieces. Instead, they’re a bit tied up.
Why would Ryan or whoever has them keep the pair alive unless he has something entirely else planned?
