Familiar faces have been popping up all over General Hospital of late and on Monday, we are about to see another one. Nicolas Bechtel will be making his return as Spencer Cassadine.
Ava (Maura West) is the first to see Spencer as she asks to visit with him at his school, without saying who she is with. She apologizes for all that has happened to him and what part she may have played in it.
Then, Spencer laments how much he has lost over the last few years, including his father. That’s when things get interesting. Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) walks up behind him and puts his hand on his son’s shoulder, telling him, no, he has not lost his father because his father is right here.
Bechtel, who began playing Spencer as a young tyke back in 2013, is not 14-years-old and portraying him as a teen. He took to Twitter on Friday night, excited to talk about his return, something he said he had to keep under wraps for a while.
“Well…it’s out of the bag,” he tweeted. “It was so hard not to reply to all of you. I’m back and I am still Spencer. I can’t wait for next week. Thank you SO much to everyone who supported me. I love being a part of this phenomenal show #gh”
While Spencer has been spending his time at boarding school over the last few years, he has made a few PC returns. One notable time was when he rigged the mayoral election to favor his grandmother, Laura. A more free and fair election had to be held after that one. And Spencer still has not been caught.
Stay tuned for Monday when Spencer has a few choice words to say to his father that is similar to what Laura and Lulu have been telling Nik. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
