Summer may be winding down on General Hospital, but the excitement keeps coming. TV Insider spoke with co-head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten about all that is happening this fall in Port Charles.
Sonny, Drew, And Ava
The animosity between Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Drew (Cameron Mathison) will intensify, with Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Rocco (Finn Carr) caught in the middle. The young couple will become Port Charles’s version of Romeo & Juliet, caught in the middle of the family feud. The writers hint at “potentially fatal consequences”.
Sonny’s secret romance with Justine (Nazneen Contractor) will intensify, but escaping his reputation will be more difficult than he had hoped.
Jason And Britt
Jason (Steve Burton) will continue to take care of Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) and put his criminal past behind him.
His relationship with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) will not go as smoothly as they had hoped. Britt’s past will come back to haunt her, and Jason may not be able to live with the decisions that she made.
Carly And Valentin
This couple has become a fan favorite, but “storm clouds are gathering.” A “mysterious person” will buy Spoon Island right out from Valentin (James Patrick Stuart).
Their children will cause chaos: Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) will have a “night swimming adventure that threatens to pull Carly (Laura Wright) and Val under too,” and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) continues her vendetta against Sonny. But the real threat to their relationship may be Anna’s (Finola Hughes) return.
Brook Lynn And Chase
We may have already seen the beginning of the end for Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard). “The Quartermaines hold their breath as Tracy (Jane Elliot) leads legal negotiations on Brook Lynn’s behalf, while Brook Lynn and Chase face a turning point.” Even worse, this may leave them vulnerable when someone comes to claim Phoebe.
Meanwhile, Tracy will be working with Michael (Rory Gibson) to defeat Willow, which may put the nail in the coffin of Brook Lynn and Chase’s marriage.
Nina
Nina (Cynthia Watros) made a fatal mistake when she threatened Jack (Chris McKenna) in front of a roomful of people. She will become the number one suspect in his disappearance, especially because Drew planted evidence in her car.
Emma, Gio, Trina, And Kai
This foursome has become fast friends. Trouble is brewing because “Emma (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina favor an assertive approach to dealing with Trina’s stalker, much to Kai (Jens Austin Astrup) and Gio’s (Giovanni Mazza) chagrin. Emma’s efforts to unmask Trina’s stalker may put a target on her own back.”
Emma will also come into conflict with Joss and Britt over Anna.
In Other News
We will finally get to know the mysterious Tristan (Dean Geyer).
A love triangle between Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), and Ric (Rick Hearst) is about to heat up.
There may be a spark between Lucas (Van Hansis) and Joe (Jonathan Bennett), but Lucas’s past trauma could begin to take its toll.
A past romance may appear for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). It’s about time.
Curtis (Donnell Turner) will find trouble in Pentonville but may find help from a “surprising source.”
