There’s no way “General Hospital’s” Nikolas Cassadine got down to those rocks all by himself that night and set up someone (likely in his mind, Hayden) for murder without some clever help.
Fans know they saw a shadow over Nik’s supposedly-dead body and we can assume that shadow played a part in his disappearance, but to whom did that shadow belong. We here at Soap Hub have our own theories, but we wanted to know who YOU think helped The Dark Prince fake his own death that fateful Nurses’ Ball night.
Out of nearly 8,000 votes, 68% of you don’t only believe Spencer (Nicolas Behctel) knows what his father did, but that he also helped him pull it off. Spencer may be small, but he has one heck of a sophisticated brain and would do anything his father asks.
He might also have come up with his own ideas on how to trick everyone. Maybe one of his drone helicopters caused the window crash. Stranger things have happened. What Nik (Tyler Christopher) may not have counted on was Spencer laying it on so thick and being so nonchalant about “Father never returning to this house.” That definitely makes Jason believe Spencer knows something more than he’s letting on.

A smaller 18% of you think Helena (Constance Towers) is Nik’s accomplice. Sure, she’s dead–but is dead ever really dead on soaps? And, most importantly, is Helena ever really dead. Perhaps she’s been working with Nikolas for months or perhaps he just learned his grandmother was indeed alive and came to her for a huge favor.
An even smaller 10% believe Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) is in on the whole thing. After all, the last we saw of Liz and Nik alone together she had discovered the diamonds. Maybe he explained his entire plan and Liz offered to help–never guessing Jason would show up and be accused of murder. Maybe this is one reason Liz is so determined to pin this on Hayden. She may know exactly what Nik intended.
The final 4% think Laura (Genie Francis) helped her son stage his death. After all, she’s yet to become hysterical over losing a child, although she has expressed grief. While Soap Hub doesn’t think Laura know what’s really going on, GH is known to throw us some curve balls.
