Though her character Emma Grace Scorpio-Drake has been off-screen on General Hospital lately — much to the chagrin of fans everywhere — performer Brooklyn Rae Silzer always gives it her all. And now she’s getting ready to celebrate a major milestone.
Happy Birthday, Brooklyn Rae Silzer!
That’s because she was born on April 27, 2006, which means that this fan-favorite actress is turning 16 years old today! Silzer was only 5 years old when she made her debut on General Hospital.
She’s played Emma on and off since July 2011 (having replaced incumbent actress Francesca Cistone). For her performance on the ABC soap, Silzer has received the 2013 Young Artist Award as well as a slew of other nominations.
Fans have watched her grow up before their eyes and keep hoping the show will notice how mature she looks and bring her back to join the teen scene in Port Charles. Despite Emma’s parents, Robin (Kimberly McCullough) and Patrick (Jason Thompson, now Billy Abbott on Young and the Restless), aren’t around, it would be easy enough since her grandmother, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), lives in town and could certainly use someone on her side these days.
Aside from her work on GH, Silzer has also appeared in episodes of CSI: New York, CSI: Miami, Children’s Hospital, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, and Code Black, as well as the made-for-TV movie Christmas in Homestead and the feature film How to Be a Latin Lover.
In 2018, Slizer co-starred with fellow General Hospital alums Constance Towers (ex-Helena Cassadine) and Kristina Wagner (Felicia Cummings Scorpio) in The Storyteller, a family-friendly picture.
