Jacob Young won his Daytime Emmy for playing Lucky on General Hospital. Now, the actor is reuniting with a fellow former ABC Daytime star on his newest podcast — Real Conversations with Jacob Young.
Jacob Young and Eva LaRue Reunite
“Proud to announce episode 3 of ‘Real Conversations with Jacob Young’ is available now,” Young shared. “My guest this week is [Daytime] Emmy Award winner, Eva LaRue [ex-Maria, All My Children]. We discuss the possibility of the All My Children Primetime reboot on ABC [titled] ‘Pine Valley’ as well the personal tragedies that she has faced this last year, and what she’s doing to combat feelings of depression.”
As fans of the actress will recall, her ex-husband John Callahan (ex-Edmund, AMC) and the father of their daughter Kaya passed away on March 20, 2020. LaRue’s father, Luis, passed away in 2019.
Young promises a compelling interview that folks won’t want to miss. “Be sure to subscribe to all my podcasts by hitting the link in my bio,” the actor adds. “Sponsored by Boys Town. Young began airing on GH in 2000. He brought Lucky back to the canvas after Jonathan Jackson vacated the role the year before. Lucky was presumed dead in a fire, but he’d been spirited away by Faison (Anders Hove) and Helena (Constance Towers).
LaRue was also involved in a ‘back from the dead’ storyline after her presumed deceased character on AMC returned to Pine Valley. Maria had amnesia, however, and believed she was Maureen Gorman. She and Young were on AMC at the same time when he played JR Chandler.
In addition to their runs on ABC soaps, both actors spent time on CBS daytime dramas. Young played Rick on The Bold and the Beautiful. Last year, LaRue won a Daytime Emmy for playing Celeste Rosales on The Young and the Restless. She recently reprised the role for Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wedding.
