Who can ever forget Ned and Lois’s 1995 General Hospital Coney Island wedding when the bride took her Port Charles friends and family back to Brooklyn for her special event? And who can forget who put the ‘B’ in L&B Records? Brenda Barrett, of course. Now actress Rena Sofer has come across quite a memory from that trip that brings us back to another soap time.

Rena Sofer And NYC Memories

“I was going through some old photo albums to show my daughter and I came across this one,” Sofer posted to Instagram next to a photo of an exhausted Marcil sleeping in her on-screen bestie’s arms.

“An oldie but a goody. Me and @vanessamarcilmlovesk on a ferry going around the Statue of Liberty on a remote for @generalhospitalabc This was for #nedandlois wedding way back in ‘95 when we did a remote in NYC and #Brooklyn.

“This was one of my most favorite memories not just of #GH but of my career. I loved working with Vanessa so much!! And this pic shows how close we were back then. (We are still madly in love) so exhausted she just curled up on me and we fell asleep to the rhythm of the Hudson River.”

It brings this writer back to her Brooklyn, New York home from far away in Pittsburgh and brings back memories for General Hospital fans who loved those glory days of GH when Lois almost missed her wedding, which was technically her second wedding with Ned, as he married her under the guise of Eddie Maine earlier. Of course, it turned out he was a bigamist also wed to Katherine Bell (Mary Beth Evans).

Flash forward 25 years and we’d still love to see Rena Sofer return as Lois (Ned is now dealing with their adult daughter, Brook Lynn), but she’s busy causing trouble out in Los Angeles as scheming Quinn on The Bold and the Beautiful.
