Soap Opera Comings And Goings
The week of January 4, 2021
On Days of Our Lives, Angelo Tiffe returns as Angelo Vitali, Ava’s cousin (Tamara Braun), on Wednesday, January 6. Look for the character to interact with Stephen Nichols’ Steve and Drake Hogestyn’s John. Tiffe last appeared on the soap in 2017.
Vanessa Williams is back as Valerie Grant on Thursday, January 7. She’ll share scenes with TV son Lamon Archey’s Eli and Sal Stowers’ Valerie.
Chandler Massey wrapped up his holiday visit as Will Horton, who headed back to Arizona. Meanwhile, his TV husband, Freddie Smith, is done after a quick video visit as Sonny Kiriakis.
Over at The Young and the Restless, Jason Canela finished his short return as Arturo Rosales. The character headed home to Miami after officiating at his brother Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wedding.
Eva LaRue, who popped up in two video calls to Rey and Sharon, also wrapped her brief appearance on the soap. And Melissa Claire Egan’s (Chelsea) real-life husband, Matt Katrosar, was in and out as Paramedic Egan.
Bringing the Drama
More than five decades of gripping drama has kept the daytime sudser on the air as other soap operas were axed. It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives, The Young and the Restless (YR), and The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). GH airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for air times.
