Peter August may not be getting much of a workout these days, given that he’s handcuffed to a hospital bed on General Hospital. However, his portrayer, Wes Ramsey, makes sure he gets plenty of physical exercise.
Wes Ramsey – Soap Hub’s Wellness Wednesday
Ramsey (Peter) is the subject of this week’s installment of Soap Hub’s Wellness Wednesday. As evidenced by the actor’s Instagram page, he’s known for hiking and doing other forms of physical activity. Now, the actor is sharing specific thoughts on what keeps him healthy both mentally and physically with Soap Hub.
Soap Hub: What is your go-to activity for health and wellness?
Wes Ramsey: I’ve always enjoyed running, tennis and weightlifting, but now Laura [Wright, Carly Corinthos, Ramsey’s girlfriend] has me on the pickle ball court several times a week. It’s definitely our newest obsession.
Soap Hub: How do you keep a healthy mind?
Wes Ramsey: Part of keeping a healthy mind starts with the body. If you’re feeling off or struggling, simply taking a walk can help facilitate a complete reset because blood flow changes the way our minds operate. Our minds are the key to unlocking our potential in life and must be treated with love. I try to simplify what I can when stressed and compartmentalize things when overwhelmed.
Soap Hub: Do you have any wellness tips or tricks?
Wes Ramsey: Meditation is wonderful and an undervalued gift in our society. Time management is also important. Being impulsive and enjoying your daily freedoms are great for creativity, but it helps to keep a schedule at times for the sake of productivity. The key, of course, is in the balancing of these.
