A former soap star lost his cool, a DAYS leading man proposed, and there’s a new baby in this GH stars family… Here’s everything you missed in the daytime world — with links — in the Soap Hub soap opera news wrap.

Soap Opera News: Steamed Up

Things got a little heated — okay, a lot, when former All My Children star Mark Consuelos attended his and his wife Kelly Ripa’s son Joaquin’s high school wrestling match. Let’s just say an opponent’s move had Consuelos charging the floor.

Putting A Ring on It

Greg Vaughan’s (Eric, Days of Our Lives) romance with former Rizzoli & Isles star, Angie Harmon, took a major turn over the holidays. The couple got engaged, and Soap Hub has pictures of the big moment.

Milestones

Kassie DePaiva is gone, baby, gone — again, as Days of Our Lives’ Eve. And the actress had plenty to say about it.

She plays a grandmother on General Hospital, and now Jacklyn Zeman (Bobbie) is one in real-life too. The actress shared her joy over the latest addition to her family.

Thankful Thoughts

Judi Evans (Adrienne, Days) thanked family and friends for their love and support following the passing of her only son, Austin. Evans noted that she and her husband, Michael, were both “touched and uplifted” by everyone’s kindness.

Making Moves

No sooner did Darin Brooks’ (Wyatt, The Bold and the Beautiful) latest Lifetime movie, The Missing Sister, air in November, that comes word that he has another one on the horizon. Brooks is currently working on DNA Killer for the network.

Meanwhile, a former BB star, Ronn Moss who played the original Ridge, is venturing into a new business. Moss is launching his own wineand you’ll never guess what it’s called.

Christmas Cheer

GH’s James Patrick Stuart (Valentin) toasted the holidays with former soap love Michelle Stafford (ex, Nina; Phyllis, YR) and her kids Natalia and Jameson. And YR’s Christian Le Blanc (Michael) joined in on the fun, too.

Kathleen Gati (Obrecht) reminisced about playing Krampus, a mythological figure in Central European folklore, during a previous GH Christmas episode. Find out why it meant so much to her.

All In The Family

Matthew Ashford’s (Jack, Days) real-life son, Henry, appeared on the soap during one of its Christmas episodes. The appearance marked the tyke’s TV debut.

Animal lover Arianne Zucker (Nicole, Days) opened up her home to a rescue dog named Bunny. And apparently the pup is quickly fitting into her family.
