Fans of General Hospital’s Rick Hearst (Ric) will be able to enjoy him in an exciting new role when he guest-stars on the CW series The Vampire Diaries.
According to Soaps In Depth, Hearst will have a role on the series, but the actor has not announced when he will actually be appearing.
He Revealed All On Twitter
In fact, according to his official Twitter, he has just signed on the dotted line to appear.

Hearst also posted a funny clip from a classic episode of The Muppet Show where Kermit the Frog was a vampire who tried to bite horror legend Vincent Price.
The Vampire Diaries Has Hosted Other GH Alums
Soaps In Depth revealed that there have been other General Hospital actors who have appeared on the CW drama.
The site reported that Sebastian Roché (ex-Jerry) played Mikael, Annie Wersching (ex-Amelia) portrayed Lily; and Stephen Martines (ex-Nikolas) appeared as Frederick.
Season eight of The Vampire Diaries debuts on Friday, Oct. 21.

The character of Ric Lansing is the son of late attorney and mobster, Trevor Lansing and his late mistress/fiancée, Adela Corinthos, and the half brother of mob boss, Sonny Corinthos.
The character has been played by Hearst from 2002 to 2009, and returned in 2014 and 2016. Hearst last appeared on the series during the week of July 18.
The actor has been nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award seven times, winning for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2004 and 2007 for his role on General Hospital.
Prior to scoring his Emmy for his work on GH, Hearst won an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his work on Guiding Light in 1991.
