James Read confirmed he will be returning to Days of Our Lives in the role of Clyde Weston on his official social media page.
Read revealed on Twitter that he would be returning to the long-running NBC serial in September.

Fans of Days of our Lives last saw Clyde Weston after he moved from Salem to Florida to pay for his crimes. Before leaving, he said goodbye to his son, serial killer Ben Weston (Rob Scott Wilson).
Clyde also kept the secret that Ben was the necktie killer when he was taken out of town for the final time, until now. The site Michael Fairman Soaps speculated that Clyde could be involved in baby Tate’s kidnapping.

His Dark Past
The character of Clyde was introduced to the DAYS canvas via Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow), who sought him out while she was digging into Jordan Ridgeway’s (Chrishell Stause) past.
Kate was trying to find information against Jordan after she hooked up with Kate’s ex-Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering).
She later uncovered that Clyde was Jordan’s stepdad and Ben’s father. It was later revealed that he abused both kids when they were younger when Jordan’s mother passed away.
