Step 3: Enter Griffin
Determined to live her life alone in the confines of her apartment, Ava found solace in alcohol. Kiki (Hayley Erin) enlisted Griffin’s (Matt Cohen) help to reach her desperate mother. The doctor/priest lifted Ava’s spirits and coaxed her back to the land of the living.
He sensed her deep remorse and insisted that there was goodness inside her. However, when he rebuffed her advances, Ava had a temporary slip-up. She made a deal with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) to have her face restored at a Russian clinic in exchange for recanting her statement that he killed Nikolas.
Step 4: Saving Jason
Just when it looked like evil, self-centered Ava was back, the tables suddenly turned again. She discovered Patient 6, unbeknownst to her possibly the real Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), was being drugged and held at the clinic against his will.

Although she was warned to stay away from him or be tossed out without receiving the surgery that would restore her face, Ava decided to do the right thing: help the troubled mystery man.
