The General Hospital recap features Tracy Quartermaine making an eventful comeback just when Holly needed her most.
In this episode, Holly won her bid for Ethan, but not for long thanks to no money and Tracy. Back in Port Charles, Willow convinced Michael to invite Sonny to their wedding as Nina and Valentin spent some time catching up. Brook Lynn was happy when Chase learned he could be a cop again, but sadly Alexis learned what was really wrong with Chase’s dad. Finally, Robert and Diane had car trouble that led to something more. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Holly (Emma Samms) was completely freaked out when she realized the man whose murder was up for auction was her son Ethan (James Ryan). Without thinking, Holly bid $2 million to win her prize. When someone anonymously bid $4 million, Holly upped things to $10 million and won.

Felicia wondered where the money would come from, and Holly planned to fake her way through everything. When that didn’t work, the next highest bidder wired the money and that bidder turned out to be none other than Tracy Quartermaine. When Holly and Felicia called out her name, the jig was up, so the women, with an assist from Ethan, managed to knock out Victor’s goons. Then, all three of Luke’s exes managed to escape along with Ethan.
Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) settled in for some alone time and she surprised her fiancé by bringing up Sonny. Michael immediately assumed that Sonny had done something horrible, but Willow assured him that wasn’t the case. Willow then shocked Michael by telling him she thought Sonny should be invited to the wedding. Michael was semi-appalled at the idea, but Willow explained she only wanted him there to be with Donna and Avery. She wanted the little girls to feel their family unity.
Willow then went back to being her old self, making sure to mention that Nina never had a role in her life and never will. However, she pointed out that Sonny had a role in Michael’s life, so that was another reason he should be at the wedding. When Michael told her Nina would want to be there, Willow hoped her mother would know she had no business watching the daughter who was stolen from her at birth get married. Finally, she managed to convince him to just invite Sonny, not caring one bit that Nina is a human with actual feelings.
Sonny and Nina (Cynthia Watros) sat at the hospital discussing the missing Liesl (Kathleen Gati) when Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) soon happened by with some Haunted Star info. He informed Sonny and Nina that Trina (Tabyana Ali) managed to make contact with her mother and the cops and that Victor didn’t even know she was onboard the ship. Valentin blamed himself for everything Victor was doing, and when Nina and Valentin got a chance to sit down and catch up, she did her best to make her ex-husband feel better. She was surprised when Valentin wanted to know how she was now that she knew she had a living adult child right in Port Charles. Nina explained that she didn’t know what to feel. Her focus now is finding Liesl and saving her daughter.
As Nina and Valentin spoke, Sonny did some catching up with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and learned about the wedding he didn’t think he was invited to. He then told Nina he had some information about Willow that she needed to know.
Chase (Josh Swickard) was thrilled when the civilian review board allowed him to be reinstated with the Port Charles Police Department. A thrilled Chase immediately hugged Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and thanked her, but when he went to talk to Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), Brook Lynn quickly took off. So, Dante and Chase took off for some coffee and dessert to celebrate, and Chase couldn’t be more thrilled for his chance to be a cop again. Dante even gave him back his badge.
Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) ended up stuck on the side of their road due to his car breaking down while they were headed toward dinner. They were forced to wait hours for roadside assistance to arrive. That gave them lots of time to talk, so Diane told Robert the story of how she came to work for Sonny (Maurice Benard), with her first client being Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
She had to admit that she has enjoyed working for Sonny, but has drawn a line on what she will do for him that she refuses to cross. At least Robert managed to fix his car himself, but that just resulted in exhaust fumes all over Diane. When she changed into a baseball jersey, Robert was clearly intrigued because he then grabbed Diane and kissed her.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was alarmed when Gregory (Gregory Harrison) collapsed on the floor in her office, but he demanded she not call 911. He informed her he was just having severe muscle cramps and that it was nothing compared to what was to come with his illness. Finally, he admitted that he has ALS, AKA Lou Gehrig’s disease.
