The GH spoilers recap for Friday, September 23, 2022, features Elizabeth Webber making a shocking discovery but keeping that discovery to herself.

GH Spoilers Recap Highlights

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) couldn’t wait to tell Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that she actually did remember the face of the woman at the bottom of the stairs but kept her drawing folded in her pocket. However, when Liz went to pick up Finn’s phone and hand it to him, she noticed the photo of his dead wife, Reiko, and realized that was the same woman she just drew.

A freaked-out Elizabeth listened to Finn tell her about his time in the Mariana Islands with Reiko working for Doctors Without Borders when they were first married. She then made an excuse to get home quickly and pulled a photo of herself and her sister, Sarah Webber, in the Mariana Islands in 1997.

General Hospital Recap: Vanna’s Big Caper

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) managed to suppress Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) sneeze, but then made him sad when she threw his good Italian shoe against a wall to distract Johan (Max Decker). A one-shoed Valentin then kicked Johan overboard, startling Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) when The Haunted Star’s motor went out.

When Victor learned a man had gone overboard, Lucy convinced him to help rescue whoever it was, prompting Anna and Valentin to come out of hiding. Lucy insisted she didn’t need anyone to rescue her, and she was thisclose to learning what Victor was really up to. Anna and Valentin then left her to her own devices and then wondered when they’d have to rescue her again.

GH Spoilers Recap: Victims Of The Hook

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) paid Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) a visit at the hospital and offered Ava a place to stay since she didn’t think she’d want to go back to Wyndemere and her cheating husband once she is released from GH. Ava hemmed and hawed about it and then admitted she still had feelings for Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma). However, she did not think it would be smart to forgive him.

At the Metro Court, Nikolas asked Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for advice on how to smooth things over with Ava but didn’t bother telling his aunt what he did wrong. Later, Nikolas arrived to see Ava and make a grand gesture with an important envelope.

Poor Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) found herself at Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage crying and hoping she would somehow see him again. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) soon arrived and offered her comfort. However, he was not happy when Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) showed up looking for Sasha, as she is now Sasha’s new lawyer.

Diane and Sonny hashed things out as Sonny was still sour about the way Diane raked him over the coals in court during the Grandma War Hearings. However, when she was kind to Sasha, Sonny forgave her and then asked Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) to keep an eye on Diane while she did some paperwork.

As Diane went over Sasha’s guardianship papers, a shadowy figure with a hook appeared, taking aim at Diane.
