The GH spoilers recap for Thursday, September 15, 2022, features Carly Corinthos encountering someone she never wanted to see again.
Since she left her phone on a grounded plane, Carly (Laura Wright) decided to detox from devices by reading a book and relaxing at a Jacksonville bar. That’s where a genteel southern lady decided to strike up a conversation with her, pleased that she was reading an actual paper book and not electronics.

As the two women got to talking, the woman brought up Ruby Anderson’s (Norma Connolly) old house, referring to it as a house of ill repute. Carly informed the woman that she was Ruby’s niece, and it suddenly hit Carly that the woman she was talking to was the mother of the real Carly Roberts, the best friend Caroline Benson decided to become when she left Florida for Port Charles all those years ago.
Mrs. Roberts (Linda Purl), who now goes by Mrs. Honeycut, was displeased to see Caroline and told her exactly what she thought of her. Carly, being Carly, stuck up for herself and announced she is a grown woman and didn’t need to take any harsh words from this judgemental person standing in front of her.
Back in Port Charles, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) tried desperately to reach Carly’s lost phone while making tea for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). As for Willow, she still looked half dead but was determined to let cancer take over her body.
TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) delivered two updates on Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) surgery, and the last one didn’t seem promising at all as Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) joined Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and Sasha Gilmore Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) to sit vigil.
Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) questioned Kristina Corinthos (Lexi Ainsworth) about what she saw, and Jordan deduced that The Happy Hooker was looking for crimes of opportunity. However, when Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) learned that Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) had been out there before Brando, he grew concerned that Jordan was wrong.
Over at the Metro Court pool, Josslyn, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), Cameron Webber (Will Lipton), and Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) all tried hanging out without drama. Trina brought drama into the equation when she told Rory all about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) having feelings for her and trying to get Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to tell the truth. Trina assured Rory this didn’t change anything between them.
After Rory was called away due to Brando being hooked, Josslyn told Trina all about dumpster diving with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), and Trina was mad at Joss for keeping this from Cam.
Dex met with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) on the docks and admitted to him that he actually likes Sonny but would still do his job of trying to bring him down. Michael then asked Dex to stay away from Josslyn. Later, Sonny asked Dex to keep an eye on Joss. This could be trouble.
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) were relieved to learn that Nikolas was off the hook, so to speak, since there was another stabbing and Nikolas was with Ava when it happened. The estranged couple then got to talking, and Ava softened towards Nikolas but did not take him back. Nikolas still went home, thinking he finally made some inroads.
