The GH spoilers recap for Monday, May 9, 2022, features Spencer Cassadine going on a fact-finding mission that just may prove to be fruitful in ways he never imagined.
GH Spoilers Recap Highlights
Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) started her day reading a new letter from her nanny, Maggie, and she clearly made her life in Port Charles out to be much happier than it is. As Esme went through more letters in a closet full of shoeboxes, she vowed that she would be as happy as the fantasy version of her.
Cameron Webber (Will Lipton) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) argued about continuing to make Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) believe that Cam is siding with Spencer. That’s when Cam suggested Spencer used the time Esme was at a yoga class to go and snoop in her room. He then distracted Esme when she arrived at Kelly’s. When Esme hugged Cam, Josslyn walked in and was livid.
The girls had just come from yoga class where Joss noticed the chemistry between Trina and Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) as Trina and Rory flirted. Esme eavesdropped on the whole conversation.
General Hospital Recap: Defending Nina
Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) could hardly believe her ears as the Metro Court as Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) played devil’s advocate with Carly and tried to get her to see Nina Reeves’s (Cynthia Watros) side. He pointed out that everyone who has ever claimed to love her has exploited her, himself included. He also told Carly that she has the life Nina has always wanted after being in a coma for 20 years and never getting to know her daughter. Valentin later found it suspicious when Carly asked about Phyllis Caulfield (Joyce Guy) being there when Nina gave birth.

At Charlie’s, Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) informed Nina that Grant Smoltz started asking her about the night Avery was born for his exposé on Nina. The friends also discussed Ava’s problems with Esme, as well as Nina’s burgeoning romance with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Nina also promised to go after Carly with all she had and that’s when Carly walked in.
GH Spoilers Recap: Family Ties
Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Chet Driscoll (Chris Van Etten) enjoyed a date where they discussed the fact that he has prosthetic legs and she is transgender. Then, Terry learned that Chet is Amy Driscoll’s (Risa Dorken) brother. Apparently, they didn’t even know each other’s last names.
At the hospital, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) chastised Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) for digging into Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) past. Curtis explained he wanted to make sure Marshall wasn’t a danger, but also told him what he found in the sealed arrest record. TJ informed Curtis he is going to find Marshall and bring him back to Port Charles.
