The GH spoilers recap for Thursday, March 3, 2022, features Betsy Frank trying to explain herself to a living room full of curious people who think she did something very, very wrong.
Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) adoptive mom, Betsy (Deborah Strang), may know she needs help, but she also knows she didn’t do anything harmful to Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and her family. Just as she tried to tell Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Elizabeth why she was in town, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) showed up and confused her.
They told her they knew she spent time in a mental health facility but didn’t bother finding out how long she was there. Betsy then couldn’t remember why she was in Port Charles but admitted she has been a lost soul and a shell of herself since Franco died and she was in a mental health clinic until days earlier, so she couldn’t be the one who is stalking Elizabeth.
After Betsy left, Elizabeth discovered a sketch of Franco she had never seen before and looked disturbed. She said Jake Webber (Hudson West) drew it and Finn gave her an “I told you so” look because he still seems to want to pin everything that’s been happening to her on her kids.
After Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) asked Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) what she wanted to do with her time now that the threat of Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is gone, she kissed him as an answer. When Austin didn’t respond how Maxie wanted, she asked him why and he said he wasn’t sure if this is the right time for that considering all Maxie has been through. Maxie told him she didn’t want to waste more time and also let the good doctor know that the Maxie he was seeing in his office is the real Maxie.
That’s when Austin took it upon himself to ask Maxie out for that night, but she declined and said she wanted to spend time with her kids. As she left, she made sure to tell Austin she would see him tomorrow.
It also looks like a new beginning for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), who spent time at the new town hot spot we will call The Axe Bar. That’s where they threw some axes as our Port Charles pals have been doing this week and discussed the past. While they will never be BFFs, they also agreed that they are no longer enemies despite the horrible things Liesl once did to Anna’s daughter, Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough).
Liesl’s daughter, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), spent some time in her office talking to Nina Reeves and letting her cousin know she did wrong by Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She also warned her not to take Michael Corinthos Quartermaine (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait (Katelynn MacMullen) to court over Wiley.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) were surprised to see Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), who admitted she overheard them talking about finding a house and moving in together. It was an awkward meeting and Jordan later left heartbroken. Portia told Curtis that she understands how Jordan feels and makes sure to refer to her as Curtis’s ex-wife.
After Portia did that, Cameron Webber (Will Lipton) and Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) ran into one another and he told her he was sorry about the envelope that got thrown out the day she had her stroke at Kelly’s. Stella didn’t even remember what was in the envelope, but fans sure do. When will Curtis and Jordan learn their divorce papers never got filed?
