The GH spoilers recap for Tuesday, June 7, 2022, features Liesl Obrecht and Brad Cooper deciding that Britt Westbourne’s life is a complete mess, so they decided to do something about it.
Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) was definitely hung over after making a drunken spectacle of herself at the Society Setups party, and Brad (Parry Shen) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) were quite concerned. So, they made their way into her hotel room to wake her and confronted her about her downward spiral in life as a sort of intervention. Britt was resistant and said this is her life and she might not have much left of it so she is going to do things the way she wants and if she wants to make a mess of her personal life, so be it.
When Liesl had Britt alone, she told her it is not normal for a mother to outlive her kids, and with Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) gone, she wakes up every day grateful to still have her daughter. She wanted Britt to feel gratitude too, as well as know the kind of love she feels from Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner).
After Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) arrived at the Quartermaine stables with an offering for Leo Quartermaine’s (Easton Rocket Sweda) new equestrian life on Monday, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) showed up on Tuesday with his own offering. And both men want Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) on their side in the ELQ wars.
Ned proposed to Michael that he, Michael, and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) divide CEO duties and Michael balked, saying Drew would never go for it. An angry Ned then reminded Michael that he used to change his diapers before looking for Valentin’s contact information in his phone.
At the Metro Court pool, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) insisted she is an honorary Quartermaine (whose ex-husband killed Monica’s son) so she was the perfect person to help Drew get ELQ back from Valentin. Over at the boxing gym, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was worried that some of his disappearing coffee contracts are due to Michael’s vendetta. His new employee, Dex (Evan Hofer), overheard this and paid Michael a visit at the stables.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) finally got to hear what life was like for his father as a schizophrenic. Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) asked him to remember homeless men he had met in the streets as a cop who seemed lost and reminded him they could have had a mental illness. Marshall also insisted that he is on a good drug regimen that has been keeping him on an even keel, so he gets up each day to take in the air, the sounds, and the life around him to ground himself in reality.
Marshall also admitted he has been watching Curtis from afar his entire life and Curtis opening a music club was like a signal from God that it was time for him to come out of the shadows.
