The GH spoilers recap for Monday, June 6, 2022, features Elizabeth Webber putting her foot down with Hamilton Finn once again. Will it work this time?
As Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) sat in the Shadybrook rec room discussing her sleeping pill problems with Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) walked right in with flowers and Liz didn’t seem happy at all. In fact, she asked him point-blank why he was visiting when she specifically told him not to. Finn looked offended, but Liz explained that being with him gives her a false sense of security and she can’t figure out how to help her own self when she doesn’t confront her real feelings. She also realized that she is not ready to move on from Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth).
Liz did get an official diagnosis of being in a dissociative fugue state, but Laura mentioned that she had been taking the sleeping pills for well over a year but her incidents didn’t start till months later. Perhaps something else aside from grief over losing her husband caused all this. Laura privately asked Finn the same question, explaining the time she had mental illness and spent years in a facility, so he later asked Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) about Liz’s parents again.
As Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) and Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) were thrilled to watch Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) with his new horse, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) stopped by with riding gear that once belonged to Charlotte Cassadine. When Olivia and Leo left for a few minutes, Ned and Valentin once again discussed ELQ. Valentin said he would be willing to share power with Ned if it’s the only way he gets to keep any power at all. Later, Olivia warned Ned not to trust Valentin.
At the Metro Court pool, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) accused Ned of having a temper tantrum and told Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) that was reason enough to keep him from ELQ. Elsewhere at the pool, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) threw another tantrum about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and told her that she believed the story of Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) taking her in after she was abandoned in a commune. Therefore, she doesn’t want to know who her real mother is. Carly was relieved.
Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) finally brought Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) home. After Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) questioned him about marrying Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and vaguely recalled something about Curtis’s divorce from Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper), Marshall decided it was time to tell his truth.
He explained that after Vietnam, he felt he needed to do something meaningful with his life so he got involved with different social justice movements. One time he was arrested after having episodes of thinking he was being followed. When he unintentionally resisted arrest, he was put in a mental health facility and diagnosed with schizophrenia.
