The GH spoilers recap for Friday, July 8, 2022, features Valentin Cassadine trying to do Victor Cassadine’s dirty work but failing miserably.
GH Spoilers Recap Highlights
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) had a perfectly friendly talk at the Metro Court Gardens where Charlotte Cassadine was a large topic of conversation. He even called Laura a wonderful mayor. Then, she stepped away when her phone rang and Valentin slipped some sort of drug into Laura’s iced tea.
When Laura returned to the table, it took her a while to take a sip, but as soon as she mentioned that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) seems to have found the good in him, Valentin changed his mind and knocked a pepper shaker into Laura’s glass, claiming it was an accident. Neither Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) nor Laura really believed that and knew something was up.
In the park, Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) and Anna had a discussion about Valentin, with each asking the other what exactly their relationship with Valentin consists of. She said that she trusts Valentin, but just doesn’t trust the people around him and Victor said that made two of them.
Anna later got a call back from the rehab center where Valentin supposedly spent well over a month, but the doctor there told her he was only there one week and checked himself out.
General Hospital Recap: Liz Is Back In Action
Speaking of checking one’s self out, that’s exactly what Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) did. She checked out of Shadybrook after an angry meltdown and showed up at work. Neither Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) nor Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) wanted her there and felt she needed to clear things with HR.

However, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) was thrilled to see her and more thrilled when Elizabeth said she wanted him in her life and kissed him.
GH Spoilers Recap: Happenings At The New Port Charles Hangouts
In the Q stables, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) questioned Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) about his habit of not staying in one place long, even asking if they should hire someone else just in case. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) had faith in Cody and he assured them he is sticking around. Cody then learned his Society Setups match is Britt.
Ned and Olivia then discussed the Metro Court situation and Ned offered to buy it and sell it to Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), but Olivia informed him Carly already turned her down.
At the pool, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) showed Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) the video of him singing on Leo Quartermaine’s (Easton Rocket Sweda) social media account and convinced him to give a singing career a try.
Finally, Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) verbally sparred as they made a bet over whether an op-ed he wants her to print in The Invader gets positive or negative feedback from readers.
