GH Spoilers Recap For August 16: Spencer Rejoices As Trina Robinson Walks Free

The GH spoilers recap for Monday, August 15, 2022, features good news for Trina Robinson as all those months of angst was solved by one of our original Port Charles heroes.

Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) swooped right into the courtroom just as the tainted jury foreman was about to announce the verdict in Trina’s (Tabyana Ali) trial. He convinced the judge to allow Oz Haggerty (Max Faugno) to testify just before Oz was wheeled in with his hospital gown still on and oxygen tubes still in his nose. He then testified that he sold the phone to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and not to Trina.

Then, Robert decided his office had no case in light of the new testimony, and after all this time, all charges were dropped. Trina could now walk free, and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) felt fantastic. After Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) finally left, Spencer approached Trina, and she asked him to tell her when he changed his mind about Esme.

Speaking of Esme, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) told Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) that he killed her. Victor didn’t buy it for one second, and Nikolas then told him what really happened to Esme. When Jordan Ashford came looking for Esme with a search warrant, Victor hid Esme’s suitcase and put his fingerprints all over it. What a Cassadine!

General Hospital Recap: Drama At The Metro Court

Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was infuriated to see Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) on a date at the bar and ran to tell Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), who was setting up a graduation surprise party for Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) at the pool. Olivia also had to ask what was going on between Carly and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), but Carly didn’t want to talk about it.

Nina and Sonny’s date was later cut short when he got a work call. Sonny reminded Nina he can’t always tell her about what is going on with his job, and she accepted it. He then met with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and said he knew secrets about him. He didn’t know Dex was holding the paper with the verdict that would have been read had the charges against Trina not been dropped.

GH Spoilers Recap: Weeping Willow

Willow was devastated to learn that she does indeed have leukemia and that treatment in the first trimester could hurt her baby. Willow didn’t even want to talk to Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) about treatment but promised she would talk to her family first.

When she showed up at the pool to meet Michael and saw he was planning a party, she didn’t quite know what to say.
