The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, November 14, 2023, features Valentin, Laura, and Nina discovering the shocking hold Victor had over Charlotte.
Also in this episode, Sonny offered to open his bank account, Cyrus stopped Mason from conspiring against Austin, and Finn received terrible news. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Carly (Laura Wright) made a beeline for Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) to talk about Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) Metro Court offer. She suspected there was more going on behind the scenes than Nina being too busy to run the business and asked Sonny what was going on.
More so, Carly wasn’t even sure she wanted the business back. She’s quite fond of Kelly’s, thank you very much. Sonny balked and even offered to fund Carly if needed. First things first, though, Carly wouldn’t even consider it unless she got to the bottom of what Nina’s actually up to.

As for Nina, she was over at Valentin’s (James Patrick Stuart). Luckily, she got there just in time for Laura (Genie Francis) to come over too and deliver the truth about Charlotte.
No, Charlotte was not working alone. She was definitely influenced by Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) to do all the things she did. He buddied up to her while she was at boarding school and even sent a letter with his directive.
It took no time at all for Valentin to discover this horrible note. Laura read it out loud, and they were all appalled to learn how deep his programming of Charlotte went. In essence, he turned the young, impressionable pre-teen into his little solider in a bid to take down Anna (Finola Hughes) once and for all.
Over a the hospital, Cyrus (Jeff Kober) paid his lackey a visit. He and Mason (Nathanyael Gray) had it out over what went down and the trouble that could come now. Mason managed to save himself by coming up with a plan that threw Austin under the bus and saved them both. Cyrus did not approve.
Elsewhere at the hospital, Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) laid into Austin (Roger Howarth). He questioned him up and down about his connection to Mason and his relationship with Ava (Maura West). And, of course, his involvement in the whole mess. He even threatened him with charges. Dante told him to come up with the name of Mason’s boss or face the repercussions.
Austin kept his mouth shut and it’s a good thing he did. Before leaving the hospital, the nurse handed him a threatening note. He read it just as Cyrus was heading to the elevator.
Also having a rough day at GH was Finn (Michael Easton). He was called into Terry’s (Cassandra James) office where she and Portia (Brook Kerr) informed him to lawyer up. He and the hospital were being sued for malpractice. He was still allowed to practice but needed second opinions and weekly drug tests.
Finn was distraught and told Liz (Rebecca Herbst) all about the case. Yes, he treated Dennis Muldoon and yes, he did miss something huge in the case. Cancer. He didn’t discover the cancer until it was far too late for treatment. The patient never left the hospital and now his wife was out for blood.
As for Ava, she was at the gallery offering emotional support for Trina (Tabyana Ali). She heard Trina out and tried to help her sort through the murky waters of being with Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), with Esme and Ace in the picture too. Ava ultimately told Trina to try to sit down with Spencer and work it out. They both deserve that.
Meanwhile, Spencer showed up at Esme’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) place of work to talk things through — meaning he tried to convince her to stay put. Esme was not having it. She fully intended on moving out and starting her life over. She was sick of playing house with Spencer and confusing her son. They needed a degree of separation.
