The General Hospital recap for Thursday, October 19, 2023, featured Trina trying to talk reality and harsh truths as Spencer stood his ground.
Also in this episode, Valentin asked for Laura’s help, Finn planned a getaway with Liz, Portia and Jordan learned Cyrus was free, and Alexis and Gregory took on Judge Kim. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Trina (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer (Nicholas Chavez) started the day all flirty and smiley. However, their good vibes took a downward turn when Spencer told Trina his dad was alive and he didn’t want him to come home. He commented that he, Ace, and Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) had a good thing going, and he wanted to keep it that way.

Trina lost it and told him it was high time he quit playing house with Esme and started thinking about THEIR future. She reminded him things were different for them after New York. However, he didn’t budge much. He told Trina he loved her but made it clear Ace was a priority in his life. She made it clear that he wasn’t Ace’s father, and in the end, Esme had the right to do anything she wanted with Ace — with or without his blessing.
Speaking of confrontations, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) prepped herself and Gregory (Gregory Harrison) for a confrontation with Judge Kim (Kurt Yue). Gregory was all for helping and agreed to play good cop to her bad cop. Once the Judge arrived, the games began with Alexis slowly but surely calling him out on his secrets and lies.
Meanwhile, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) called upon Laura (Genie Francis) to help him with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). He sat her down and told her all about the girl’s devious deeds — including burning down Anna’s (Finola Hughes) and destroying the hotel room.
Laura did not believe it at first, but it soon hit her that most of it could be true — and Victor (Charles Shaughnessy) was behind it! They concluded Victor had weaponized Charlotte and pointed her directly at Anna. They agreed they had to get Charlotte out from under Victor’s influence.
As for Anna, she met with Jordan (Tanisha Harper) and worried about her safety. Anna was sure the WSB was behind the attacks on her. Thankfully, Sonny (Maurice Benard) got her a bodyguard. Jordan promised to do all she could to get to the bottom of things.
Speaking of baddies, TJ (Tajh Bellows) delivered the news about Cyrus (Jeff Kober) to Portia. She promptly stormed off to find Jordan and hollered about not knowing her attacker was free. Jordan and Anna were also stunned. The only solace was knowing Cyrus had to be on his best behavior, or else.
On the romance front, Finn (Michael Easton) propositioned Liz (Rebecca Herbst) to spend the weekend with him at the lake. A proposition she promptly accepted. The pair then got their childcare in order (Gram Audrey is helping with Liz’s kids), rearranged work plans, and Finn planned the romantic getaway.
Also at the hospital was Maxie (Kirsten Storms). She showed up with lunch for her mom. She and Felicia (Kristina Wagner) talked about the latter’s new position, Maxie’s move into Lulu’s house, the Deception drama, and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) moving away. Felicia gave Maxie words of encouragement, but Maxie was still upset but grateful for her mother’s wise words.
