The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, October 31, 2023, saw Spencer holding his own when he found Cyrus alone with Esme and Ace.
Also in this episode, Anna got a new home, Valentin talked Charlotte into therapy, and Laura asked Sonny for help. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Cyrus (Jeff Kober) thought he struck gold when he showed up at Laura’s (Genie Francis) only to be met with Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) and baby Ace instead. He was thrilled to finally meet his great-nephew. He didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time with them, though, before Spencer (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) interrupted.
Spencer promptly sent Esme out the door with the baby before turning his full attention to Cyrus. He demanded to know why he was there and what he wanted. It was clear he was not welcome.

Cyrus kept trying to maintain an air of innocence and reiterated he meant no harm, and he’s a changed man, and all he wants is a second chance, and all that jazz. Spencer was not having it, though. He went toe to toe with him and did and said all the things to try and get Cyrus to lose his temper.
Meanwhile, Laura (Genie Francis) had a candid conversation with Sonny (Maurice Benard) about her worries over Spencer. The young man was taking on a lot and could use a man to talk to, especially in light of all the Nikolas news. Sonny agreed to step up. He also put Laura on alert that Cyrus was in her home.
Laura raced to her apartment where she found Cyrus and Spencer nose to nose. She quickly interrupted the men and put Cyrus in his place. She banned him from ever showing up at her house uninvited and unannounced. Cyrus was not a fan of her rules but Laura stood her ground.
Also dealing with Cyrus being free was Trina (Tabyana Ali). She woke up with a start after having a nightmare about him. Thankfully, Joss (Eden McCoy) was on hand to calm her nerves and hear all about her confrontation with the criminal.
Later, Trina took off for Kelly’s to help with the party. She got right to work and even sent an emergency text to Spencer for help. It was clear the SOS irked him but he slapped on a smile and rolled up his sleeves.
As for Joss, she hung back to spend some study time with Adam (Joshua Benard). She was disheartened to hear he was planning on spending his evening in the library and invited him to come with her to Kelly’s.
The romance continued in Vermont. Liz (Rebecca Herbst) and Finn (Michael Easton) spent their day painting, apple picking, and falling back into bed. It was everything they needed it to be, and more.
Speaking of beds, Anna (Finola Hughes) got a new one. In fact, she got herself a whole new apartment, courtesy of Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Maxie (Kirsten Storms). She gleefully agreed to sublease Maxie’s old place and make it her own.
She finally felt things were looking up in her world. So much so, that she called Sonny with the news and gave up her bodyguard. Sonny didn’t think that was a smart move but Anna insisted. She needed her life back.
While Anna was moving into her new safe space, Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) was having a few rough conversations with Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez). She wanted to go out for Halloween with her friends but he refused to let her go it alone. At least until they had a talk about trauma and trust and she agreed to start seeing Kevin (Jon Lindstrom).
Once again, Valentin did not confront his daughter about her bad behavior. He did, however, call Laura with the good news that Charlotte accepted therapy. Little did he know Charlotte heard the whole conversation.
