The General Hospital recap for September 6, 2023, features Dante and Kristina calling it as they see it with their brother Michael.
In this episode, Michael was forced to defend himself against some pretty accurate accusations regarding Sonny while Alexis was forced to tell Nina and Olivia that Sonny’s situation didn’t look promising. At Ferncliff, Cody laid it on thick to get the doctor to believe his faux crazy routine while Dr. Montague managed to inject Sasha with more drugs. Finally, Anna and Valentin didn’t believe a word the other said. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) barged into Michael’s (Chad Duell) office to angrily ask if Michael turned Sonny (Maurice Benard) in to the feds. Michael insisted he was just as surprised as anyone that Sonny was arrested. Dante was sure Michael had betrayed their father and called Michael out on exactly who he is — a calculated man who loves to take revenge because he always insists he is right.

As un-self-aware as ever, Michael deflected Dante’s on-the-money accusations by using Carly’s (Laura Wright) excuse for using Dex (Evan Hofer) as a double agent. They would all be in danger if Sonny goes to jail, something Michael didn’t think of during the full year he was trying to send Sonny to jail.
Kristina (Kate Mansi) was the next sibling to stop by who had Michael’s number, assuming he was glad the arrest happened. Michael once again had to defend himself, insisting he’d never want something like that to happen when Wiley was right there to witness it. She insisted her father wasn’t an arms dealer. Michael just said that none of the kids ever knew what Sonny was really up to.
Nina (Cynthia Watros) and Kristina remained frantic about what was going on with Sonny. They both wanted to hear from Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and were surprised Sonny had not been released yet. Kristina was a support to Nina, agreeing with her that Michael can be spiteful, vengeful, and unforgiving. She even told Nina she was like family now.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) was the next person to visit Nina at the Metro Court so she could inform her that with Sonny behind bars, all his loved ones were now in danger. She sadly informed Nina and Olivia that these charges against Sonny would likely stick.
Before Alexis arrived at the Metro Court, she was at the hospital to support Molly (Brooke Anne Smith) as she waited for the surrogate to undergo a fertility procedure. A stressed and irrational Molly was angered when Alexis tried to deliver a kind message from Kristina, once again insisting her sister would ruin her whole surrogacy plan. Molly then wondered if rushing ahead with a surrogate was a good idea. Later, the surrogate believed the procedure was successful, but they just had to wait and see.
Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) were settling in well at the Metro Court, upgrading from a regular room to a suite. But that was the least of Anna’s concerns as she worried about Sonny’s arrest. She asked Valentin if Pikeman had anything to do with it but Valentin didn’t think so. At least Valentin was confident that Sonny would get out of this mess. After Valentin allegedly called a Pikeman contact and left for an alleged meeting, Anna followed him.
When Valentin arrived at a mysterious house, Anna tried to listen to his conversation but didn’t hear much. When she returned to her Metro Court suite, she quickly got in a robe and lied to Valentin that she had just taken a hot shower. Valentin didn’t believe her because the floor was supposed to be having a hot water problem. And Anna didn’t believe Valentin when he said he met his contact at a cafe because she followed him to a house.
Cody (Josh Kelly) kept up his faux crazy act to fool the Ferncliff doctors while Sam (Kelly Monaco) stopped by to check on him. His over-the-top performance seemed believable to mental health professionals. He had no idea that Sam was in the halls trying to stave off Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder), who recognized her from when they met at GH.
A cognizant Sasha told herself she could “do this” and put on a happy face when Dr. Montague walked into her room. She seemed like her old self and wanted to go home. All Dr. Montague did was pull out another syringe and inject Sashas with more drugs. Finally, Cody was able to get away from his doctor to find Sasha unconscious in her room.
