The GH recap for Wednesday, November 9, 2022, features Nikolas Cassadine battling The Hook and winning — for now.
GH Recap Highlights
In this episode, Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) was shocked when he was attacked, Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) made it to the pier, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) started a love-on-the-run story, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) finally told the truth, Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) cried like a baby over his wife cheating on him, and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) told one whopper of a lie. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into all the details.
Nikolas couldn’t believe that Esme managed to escape her tower prison, but he was even more stunned when a hooded person attacked him from behind with a hook. Nikolas managed to knock the hook out of the attacker’s hand, but then he fell and hit his head. When he came to, he was alone but also surprised that the hook seemed to come from the Spoon Island boat house.
Back on the mainland, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) was distraught after Finn walked out on her. She told him all about what happened to his first wife and how she had an affair with her father. Finn couldn’t handle the news, so he retreated to his hospital office to cry like a baby and stare at pictures on his phone and cry.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth needed a friend, so she decided to take the launch out to Spoon Island and see Nikolas. While she waited on the pier, Esme appeared but hid before Elizabeth could see her.
General Hospital Recap: Vanna Goes On The Run
Everyone managed to survive the prison van crashing, but Heather Webber (Alley Mills) ended up missing in action. After Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) woke an unconscious Anna, she freaked out knowing Heather was free, but she didn’t have time to dwell on it because Valentin appeared, and the pair took off in his car. They are going on the run together, and this is bound to be very soapy and fun.

Back at the scene of the accident, Dex tried to make sure the prison guard in the passenger seat was okay, but it soon became clear that Dex was injured and not taking care of himself. When Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) got the news that something went wrong with the prison break, he became concerned when he didn’t hear from Dex.
GH Recap: Willow Cries And Cody Lies
After explaining to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) that she and TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) were absolutely not having an affair, Willow finally told him that she has leukemia. Michael logically asked her how she has been handling chemo on her own because anyone would just assume a person with leukemia would seek cancer treatment, but Willow then had to fess up that she delayed treatment during her six-month-long first trimester for the sake of the fetus she is carrying.
Michael was stunned to learn that Willow’s cancer had advanced to stage 4, but he promised to support her every step of the way now that he knows the truth.
Finally, Cody Bell looked at his DNA test results and sadly told Mac Scorpio (John J. York) that they were not father and son. Although Mac was disappointed, he could live with the news. However, he did find it awfully strange when Cody said he still wanted to be friends and suggested they do some father/son-like activities together.
Later, we saw Cody look at the results again, which revealed that Mac is indeed Cody’s dad. It seems that Cody really wants to be able to claim rights to that necklace now that he knows how many millions it’s worth.
